I am a vision scientist and display engineer, currently working as a research scientist at Nvidia. I enjoy learning about visual perception and applying that knowledge to displays. As a researcher, I have contributed to quantifying the performance of displays in terms of human factors: measuring the visibility of various visual artifacts (color breakup, flicker, judder, motion blur, and edge banding), effective resolution, and finding an optimal gamma function (tone curve) for high dynamic range displays. I have also proposed novel 3D presentation techniques and experimentally verified their superior performances over existing techniques.
